Amersham & Chiltern RFC prides itself on being a friendly inclusive Club for both players and spectators alike.

As a Club, we operate four Senior teams, the Academy, six Junior teams (U13 to Colts) and have about 300 players under the age of 12 participating in Mini rugby teams and tournaments. Our philosophy as a Club is to encourage participation at every level and to welcome new players whatever their age or level. We also aim to provide a friendly welcome not only to all our members but also to our visitors through our excellent facilities and staff.

• Three A&C Juniors have played for England at youth level

Senior Rugby
• The Club runs four senior teams in competitive leagues, with training two nights a week, plus gym daily and physiotherapy on Monday
• We have four senior coaches, team managers, specialist fitness coach, video analysts, physiotherapist and osteopath
First XV recent honours:
• 2016 - Champions of London 1 North
• 2012 - competing in National League 3SW; Winner of The Bucks Cup; eight players selected to play for Bucks in RFU County Championship
• 2011 - League Champions of South West 1 East, promoted to the National Leagues for the first time in the Club’s history. Runner-up Bucks Cup
• 2010 - League Champions of Southern Counties North
• 2009 - League Champions of Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premiership

Academy
• Started last season, its goal is to identify talented players in our Junior section that have the potential to play National League rugby and create an environment for them to reach their full potential. This is an important move by the club and we are one of the very few clubs running a programme like this outside of the Championship.

Junior Rugby
• Over 200 players participate every Sunday and midweek training, coached by over 25 fully qualified RFU coaches
• 2012 - Winners of The Bucks Cup at every age group (U13s to Under 16s)
• 2012 - Under 15’s Bucks league winners (both A&B), Under 16’s Bucks league winners
• 2012 - Colts winners of the BBO Division 1 League

Mini Rugby
• Our philosophy is to encourage all our minis (boys and girls) to have fun, be safe and to learn some rugby skills. To that end, over 300 children aged from 5 to 12 years participate every Sunday, coached by over 50 fully qualified RFU coaches
• Every Mini player will have the opportunity to play for the Club, as we participate in local tournaments to ensure all Minis get a chance to play and improve their skills
• Martin Johnson, Rob Andrew, Josh Lewsey, James Haskell, Zinzan Brooke and Shane Williams are among the famous names to have visited the Club to join the children in a training session or to give out medals at our annual Mini Tournament
• Our annual Mini Tournament attracts around 1200 children with their parents from competing local clubs
• As well as the main Mini Tournament, the Club holds two development tournaments for those children who have recently started playing rugby

Corporate Social Responsibility
• Led by our Academy Director, Matt Allen, we visit local schools, introducing hundreds of local youngsters, including some with severe disabilities to the game of rugby
• The clubhouse is routinely used by local people and businesses for events and conferences and the pitches are used by Chiltern Harriers, the local running club, and Little Abbey Bowmen, the local archery club, when not required for rugby
• Social and playing memberships are open to all. On match days the Club is open to the public
