We had yet another marvellous weekend of rugby which I am sure will stick in the memory of those watching for some time. Our young A&C superstars were the stand out U8 teams at Ealing Trailfinders RFC's festival on Sunday. Despite being matched against players from senior clubs including our hosts and Wasps, both the Sharks and Tigers were gloriously unbeaten under the azure blue skies of West London. Of particular note was a sound thrashing handed out by both teams to London Welsh who, to be fair, were not having the best of days. Also notable was the Tigers' dismantling of one opposition team by the score of 10-1 (although you may not be surprised to hear that match was refereed by Head Coach Rob!) All of the children showed fantastic commitment and increasing organisation in defence alongside great attacking flair, with the "quick offload" now being a regular feature during the dynamic rugby on display.

It was also very pleasing to note that for the first time we also managed to hold a concurrent home training session at the same time as a festival. Many thanks to Graeme Nation and Mark Reynolds for their commitment to the children's ongoing rugby education. And welcome to our two new recruits, Matej & Chloe!
Here is a photo of the squad receiving their medals from two of Ealing Trailfinders' professional players, James Cannon and Jordi Reid (they are the slightly taller ones at the back).
